Tragaluz, A Borderland Journal of Culture and the Arts, is a program of Daphne Art Foundation, which was established in Laredo in 2019 as a 501©3 non-profit arts organization that focuses on improving the quality of life through transformative cultural experiences.

Tragaluz is itself a credible work of art – an offering of well-written stories in an inviting, beautifully designed full-color presentation. Its inclusive and far- reaching content supports not only local artists, but also young local writers who are paid a stipend for the opportunity to hone their craft by working with a professional editor and one of this city’s most creative designers.

Tragaluz informs and entertains, and also documents the ever-increasing growth of the arts in Laredo. The support of advertisers like you allows us to print our quarterly journal and pay our small staff. Your invaluable participation allows us to continue the work of writing and publishing Tragaluz. It is not profit we seek – it is sustainability to bring the arts into our lives.
