The River Gull Journal (RGJ) is a student-led arts journal at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) that promotes creative self-expression, artistic authenticity, and appreciation for the Humanities. RGJ provides a platform for budding authors, poets, artists, and photographers to showcase their work..
Submissions to RGJ are not exclusive to TAMIU students, and are open to the community. The address for submissions is therivergulljournal@gmail.com
This year, RGJ plans to publish a mini-issue called The Journey of Life during Fall 2026.
For our upcoming annual issue, we’ll feature poetry, prose, art, and photography as well as a new Interview section that is focused on local artists and TAMIU student art organizations.
In addition to our upcoming issues, RGJ plans to involve the community by hosting events like poetry readings, book drives, creative technical workshops, guest lecturers from different art genres, and collaborations with other TAMIU student organizations..
Updates and information are posted at @txamiu.therivergull.
