Want to make a film but don’t know where to start? Come to our Pre-Production Workshop on SATURDAY, MARCH 15TH for some guidance and hands-on training! Laredo Film Society is excited to announce this workshop, as part of a series of workshops focusing on the entire pre-production process–everything that needs to happen before the cameras start rolling! In this course, attendees will learn how to take an idea, map it out, and set up a video production. They will become familiar with the people producers need to interact with and some important legal, financial, and logistical processes and considerations.

Priscilla Gutierrez, the workshop instructor, is a film and TV producer from Laredo, TX, who grew up surrounded by both Mexican and American media influences. A 2017 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she is dedicated to amplifying diverse voices on the screen. Priscilla has worked on digital series for Food Network, including the Emmy-nominated "The Juneteenth Menu," as well as short films like "When You Clean A Stranger’s Home," featured on MAX. Her work explores themes of identity, belonging, and resilience. Currently, she teaches this Pre-Production course at the Austin Film Society, mentoring the next generation of storytellers.
